Leadership team16 viewsI spent 3 months at Camp Aldersgate, making great friends, leading camps for lots of kids and generally having a great but extremely stressful time. I really enjoyed camping out in the wilderness where we looked after the farm animals, cooked all our own food and endured torrential rain for most of the weeks I was out there.

Horse camp12 viewsThe camps were hard work, largely because they were relentless, we were responsible for our campers from when they arrived on Sunday afternoon till Friday evening during which we didn't get enough sleep and didn't usually get any time to ourselves. Consequently the end of the weeks were all about doing laundry and catching up on sleep deficit.

Pioneer Camp12 viewsHaving said all that the camps were also extremely rewarding. Many campers experienced God working in their lives and were challenged physically by living outdoors and spiritually by the community of Christian living that they were exposed to. I found it to be a great responsibility to be given the opportunity to help God impact into these peoples lives and to see lives change is exciting.
